Phoenix Neurological Associates

happy doc and patientMultiple Sclerosis (MS) is an autoimmune neurological illness in which the myelin sheath that surrounds the nerves and the nerves themselves are mistakenly attacked by the body’s own immune system.

Multiple Sclerosis is a highly treatable condition, and the physicians at Phoenix Neurological Associates strive to partner with patients in education and cutting edge treatment options. Although there is no cure for MS, there are currently 12 FDA-approved therapies and many more under investigation. There are dozens of research studies underway here at the health clinic Phoenix Neurological Associates.

Even when treated, Multiple Sclerosis can produce difficulty with walking, balance, and coordination. Here at the health clinic Phoenix Neurological Associates, our physicians and staff are proud to offer a new and personalized approach to the practical side of Multiple Sclerosis: A multidisciplinary MS Clinic. Our neurology clinic brings together specialists in physical and occupational therapy. Additionally, speech therapy and dietician services are available. We are excited about continuing opportunities to enhance this program and are actively working with patients to understand their needs and how we can help meet them.

People living with Multiple Sclerosis, and their care partners, often feel lost in the healthcare “maze.” Our goal is to help bridge that gap. Our neurology Clinic also offers the services of a social work specialist, and a representative of the MS Society, to help navigate the resources available to both the patient and their care partner.

The Phoenix Neurological Associates MS Clinic aims to create solutions to the many challenges people with MS face. The clinic emphasizes interaction and cooperation among the many physicians and health care professionals who are members of the patient’s care giving team.

If you’re needing help with a diagnosis or understanding your treatment options, please schedule an appointment or consultation today at our health clinic.
