TL0242WebJan Bland, FNP graduated from ASU with a bachelors in nursing in 1999. She worked as an ICU nurse and a nurse manager before completing her FNP degree at Grand Canyon University and starting at Phoenix Neurological in 2009 where she treats all areas of neurology. She has a special interest in headaches and chronic pain related to migraines, peripheral neuropathy and other neurological conditions. She also does Botox Injections for migraines, blephrospasm, cervical dystonia and limb elasticity. Additionally she does Deep Brain Stimulator programming for Parkinson’s disease and Essential Tremor, Vagus Nerve Stimulator programming for Refractory Epilepsy, Lumbar Punctures and Skin Biopsies. Jan has worked with the Stroke Clinic, Peripheral Neuropathy Clinic and the Multiple Sclerosis Clinic at Banner Good Samaritan Hospital. She has also worked at Banner Good Samaritan and Arizona Heart Hospital treating inpatient acute neurological conditions. Jan has had work presented at the American Academy of Neurology in the Management of Headache and has lectured across the state in all areas of Neurology. She is currently very active in research trials in headache, facial pain and neuromuscular diseaes and is currently the Principal Investigator in a major study of trigeminal neuralgia.
